Mason Jar Candle PDF Print E-mail
Some fabric, raffia, glass votive holder that will fit on top of jar, and a little imagination. These are so easy to do.
Make sure the fabric is below the level of the votive holder. Make a tag reminding recipient not to leave candle unattended !!!
You can skip the fabric around the jar and just fill with pinecones, potpourri, buttons, marbles, ect and tie raffia or a scrap of fabric to the threads of the jar. Use any clean jar. You can get the votive holders at Wal-Mart for about 79c. Or find a small claypot that fits and seal the hole in the bottom of pot with a small circle cut out of a can lid. You can use tiny juice glasses too. just make sure they fit without slipping through the jar. You can make these for pennies and use stuff from around the house. The votive holders are nested in the top of the jar. I have found glass votive holders that will fit under the ring for the lid.  These can be hard to find. If yours wobbles, just use a little silicone around the top of the jar to hold the glass votive holder in place.
