Long before gift baskets came into "vogue", I was making up "theme" packages for gifting. One year I gave my daughter (who never would shop for food -
rather spend on clothes) an "Italian Dinner" package. I purchased a large colander and filled it with pasta, sauce, red pepper, cheese, wine, tongs, etc. & wrapped it in a red/white checked cloth with napkins clipped. She loved it and it was practical! Now, throughout the years, I have been given so many items in baskets that I have not use for them, so I just "regift" them filling them with articles of interest to the intended recipient. One person (semi-handicapped) loves crossword puzzles, etc., so I gave her a basket full of various puzzle books, a pocket dictionary, tea, a pretty cup, favorite cookies, a mini light.
Very inexpensive, but personal. by Dianne F.

I started going to thrift stores before they were really hot. I buy all my gifts at thrift shops. You can get beautiful clothes, that look like new, designer items at that! And neat and unusual knick knacks you wouldn't find any more. I have not bought form a dept store since I discovered thrift stores. And it is SO MUCH FUN! By Michele
